Pela @ Neumo’s
Two weeks ago I was introduced by my friend Ron to Pela, a great Brooklin native band.
Adrian and I were invited to shoot their set at Neumos for KEXP, a local radio station, and to tell you the truth we really didn’t know what to expect.
We listened to a few tracks on their myspace page which revealed to be quite good, but we still didn’t know what was going to face us once into the venue…
oh man… the show was a blast! great music, great stage performance and great crowd!
so far I have managed to edit the last song of the set, which is a cover from The Clash (“Guns of Brixton”), but more is soon to come! the occasion also served as a test the video capabilities of our last purchase, a Canon 5D mark II.
Geez. best money we spent in a long time… the frontal shot in the video are all from the 5D in Adrian’s hand!
you can check more about Pela on their website
their last LP “Anytown Graffiti” is one of the best albums I have listened lately, and surely the most addictive… it has been playing non stop in our car for the last two weeks! they also have a new one coming out mid summer
for all of you that are in the Seattle area, they will be coming back to play for the Capitol Hill Block Party that will happen at the end of July (24th & 25th), with the Sonic Youth headlining it!

Great video! mark II? looks like pro video equipment, not camera. If only block party was a week long…
